I got it today. Yellow light of death. My Ps3 is as useful as a brick now.

I was playing Survival with Yumi, first game I d/c during the 60 second briefing before the round starts (it was FF TDM). Then it kept crashing each time I restart it. Now it won't turn on.

So I'm gonna have to decide what to do, repair it or get a new slim Ps3. I'll be back in a while I guess.

It's had a happy life. Served me well for a year and a half. Apparently the failure rate for them is 10%, so I'm pretty unlucky.

Couldn't have been worse timing since Atti comes back next week.

I think the failure rate is going up as they all get older. I think I will get a slim one as they will probably be more reliable. I can sell the broken one on Ebay.

Nah it's 21st September. I've decided to send off my PS3 for repair it will take 7-10 days.

OMG they fixed it already. I've paid them and they're probably gonna post it back tomorrow I guess. Should be back for next week's survival I hope.

Mine is a bit delayed but it's been repaired.

I apologise for the delay, I have spoken to the postal staff and they assure me it is simply down to the volume of consoles we have had to send out. We are working as hard as we can to get all the consoles sent out, and yours will go asap.
