SO! If you go to your internet settings you see a NAT type. (Don't ask, i'msure you'll find it)
There are 3 types of NAT, it's something you can't change through the PS3, it's something you have. NAT 1 is the one you need for hosting. This is the setup where your internet cable is directly linked to your PS3. NAT 2, the one i have, is when your internet cable is plugged in your router, and then you've got a cable to your PS3. And NAT 3 is through wireless.
So go buy a big cable or something, disconnect friend/family/roomates and go plug it directly in your PS3. Go create some games! YEAH!

And the longer the wire connecting the PS3 to your router, the worse signal you get. In some cases you are better off using the wirless function rather than a 10 metre long cable.
I dont quite get all the technical stuff but I posted about this a while back and got some helpful tips that may help you.

Doesnt require mass messing about with stuff either.
This is how i have fixed any connection problems i have had and could help you guys aswell
1.Ok so go onto MGO
2.As soon as you have logged in DONT go to your character go to the options menu there.
3.Go to network settings
4.Alter your upload limit to what you need. For example, if you are lagging lower your upload speed to say 128 or 192kbps.
5. Hosting a room needs a fast internet connection, thats why sometimes you cant make a room because the default upload speed is 256kbps.
So if you higher your upload speed to the highest it can go which is 512kbps you should be able to host your own room whenever you like and not getting those annoying messages.
HOWEVER you need atleast a 5Meg internet connection to host a room.If you put it to 512kbps and your on a low internet connection youll just be laggy as hell and youll be known as the shitty host
