Champions Tournament

Konami are now making a new tournament server called the CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT.

Here's what they say:

With our scheduled maintenance on 06/16/2009, we will be implementing the new champions tournament. The champions tournament is open only to official tournament winners and runners up.

*Note: Players who have won or become runners up in past tournaments will not be able to join regular tournament lobbies.

This should increase our chances of winning a tournament!

Play with alts and get pink?

it depends i suppose, will it be asoon as you win you have to play in champions tourny from then on?
or is it once every month, when the beret colour changes? :/

There may be a chance that if you have won with your alt then all of your characters will then have to go in to the champions lobby.

Notice of Change in Beginner Status Qualifications
Effective with our scheduled maintenance on 6/9/2009, "Beginners" will be identified based on the PLAYSTATION3 system they are using, as opposed to their GAME ID.

Players who have surpassed the following conditions will not be allowed to enter the "Beginner" lobby, even if a new GAME ID is created:

-Players who have reached Level 6 or higher with any player character, deleted characters included. -Players who have earned a total of more than 5000 reward points in Official Tournaments. Deleted characters included.

These rules have been implemented based on customer feedback to make it easier for new "METAL GEAR ONLINE" players to smoothly transition into online play.
