That's one thing you have to admire about Harry, the guy is a complete chancer when it comes to transfers. They completed this transfer in about 2 hours. Whereas MON would have his targets scouted for about 6 months before we make a move. None of our transfers have ever been a surprise like this.

Dunne, Milner, Heskey, Ireland, Petrov and loads more, I can remember us being linked with them for ages. We all knew they were going to sign eventually it just seemed to take months for them to go through.

I hope our new manager is a bit more flamboyant with his transfers.

...and not Curbishley please. He did a good job with Charlton, but when he had money at West Ham he did an even worse job than MON.

Well if we haven't got a manager by the end of this international break i cant imagine one coming in any later.

Houllier was manager of Liverpool before Benetez took over. He's probably the best we could have gotten at this time. He wont take over quite yet though since he works for the French FA and i guess hes got to finish off some work there. He should start when we face Bolton or just after.
