E3 highlights from Payno:
Uncharted 2 looks totally bad ass. Graphics were the best Ive seen for a while. At one point he looked down on a village with mountain scenery which looked incredibly fine and detailed.
MAG - 256 player online game. Couldnt really figure out how this would work for real. Seemed complicated and very tactical. Difficult enough getting a team of 6 to work properly. so 256 players seems kind of out of reach. Graphics werent great either and it looked very brown.
PSP GO! announced. Has a screen that slides up like a mobile phone. Smaller and lighter than the old PSP, costs 250 Euros. Still just one analogue stick though.
Gran Turismo announced on PSP. 800 cars 35 tracks. Runs at 60 frames per second. Apparently the same size game as a standard Gran Turismo. Trailer looked ok but was on such a small screen so was difficult to tell.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on PSP - set 10 years after MGS3. Not a spin off or a side story and is being directed by Kojima and the MGS4 team.
Looks like it is based around Big Boss forming Outer Heaven and features a new kind of Metal Gear robot. However, it seems that Big Boss has been cloned and 4 'Big boss's' were on screen at the same time.
The trailer showed quite a bit of gameplay, graphics were good for the PSP. And at the end there was a countdown that went '1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and e'. Maybe hinting at MGS5?
Loads more PSP games announced including Little Big Planet, Resident Evil and Hannah Montana. Final Fantasy VII to be added to PSN Store.
Rockstar have a new PS3 only game called AGENT. Not much said about it.
Assasins Creed 2. Set during the Italian Renaissance. Graphics were very impressive and Ezio is now the main character. New ways of killing people look awesome.
Final Fantasy XIII trailer looked impressive as always. But then they also showed a short Final Fantasy XIV trailer which is online and also a PS3 exclusive.
A new motion control is announced. It appears to use the Eye Toy as a sensor while you hold a 'wii style' controller. You appear on screen and the control turns in to different things such as a tennis racket, a sword and a gun. Difficult to explain but seems to be much more advanced than what the Wii has to offer. The demo showed him using a shield together with a sword and also a bow and arrow. Dishing out a CQC hold with this controller would be very satisfying I imagine!
The makers of Little Big Planet present a new game called Mod Nation Racers. Which seems to be a LBP style racer.
Now I have to miss the last bit because I have football so you can guarantee they will annouce MGS5 while I am out! Im sure Atti can fill you in.
