Precision Zoom and Resolution settings (Internet Browser)
Precision Zoom: You can automatically enlarge with pinpoint accuracy the area on the screen where the cursor is located. By analysing the web page source, the system automatically calculates the best enlargement rate based on the area where the cursor is located.
Resolution settings: You can adjust web page size for optimal viewing based on the PS3 system's video output resolution. A setting to reduce flickering of the screen when outputting in interlace mode has also been added.
Full-size keyboard
You can now use a full-size on-screen keyboard to enter text.
Folding@home™
Folding@home™ is a distributed computing project that is run by Stanford University. The goal of the project is to research protein folding mechanisms in the hope that this will lead to medical treatments for related diseases. By starting the Folding@home™ program that is installed on a PS3 system, you can participate in this project over the Internet.
Remote play via an access point
You can now use the remote play feature from a PSP system via an access point.
Addition of Danish, Norwegian, Finnish and Swedish as system languages

By copying Game Save data that was created on PS3 to your PSP, you can continue playing the game from where you left off when you leave the house.¹
By copying Game Save data that was created on PSP to your PS3, you can continue playing the game from where you left off when you get home.¹
You can copy Game Save data that was created on PlayStation (PS one) or PlayStation 2 to the PSP system and use the Game Save data on the PSP system.²
¹ Requires PlayStation format software that is compatible with both PSP and PS3. Software compatible with this feature is scheduled be made available soon.
² Copy the saved data to the PS3 system's Hard Disk Drive (HDD) using a Memory Card Adaptor (sold separately), and then copy the saved data to the PSP system. PlayStation format software that is compatible with the PSP system is required to use the saved data on the PSP system.
Copying Game Save data from a PS3 system to a PSP system
Connect the PS3 system and the PSP system together using a USB cable (you must have Memory Stick Duo media inserted in the PSP system).
Select [USB Connection] under [Settings] on the PSP system.
Select the icon for the saved data from [Game] > [Memory Card Utility (PS/PS2)] > [Internal Memory Card (PS)] on the PS3 system, and then press the TRIANGLE button.
Select [Copy] from the options menu, and then select [PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable)] as the save destination. To make saved data usable on a PSP system you must convert the data format. If a confirmation screen is displayed, select [Yes] to proceed.
Select the save destination for the saved data. Multiple [Internal Memory Card (PS)] will be created on the PSP system's Memory Stick Duo for each game. Select any of these as the save destination.
Copying Game Save data from a PSP system to a PS3 system
Connect the PS3 and PSP systems using a USB cable (you must have Memory Stick Duo media inserted in the PSP system).
Select [USB Connection] under [Settings] on the PSP system.
Select the icon for the saved data from [Game] > [Memory Card Utility (PS/PS2)] > [PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable)] on the PS3 system, and then press the TRIANGLE button.
Select [Copy] from the options menu, and then select the save destination.
To use this feature, the system software of the PSP system must be version 3.40 or later.
To view saved data created using PSP system software version 3.30 or earlier on a PS3 system, you must convert the data format. If a confirmation screen is displayed, select [Yes].
If you place the Memory Stick Duo media in the PS3 system's Memory Stick Duo slot or use a USB adaptor, the saved data will not be recognised. You must connect the PS3 system and the PSP system together using a USB cable.
